Carisa Godwin was nominated for BELONGING (one of the district's core value awards) for leading her Washington Irving 4th grade team to go above and beyond. She helps our new to EPS staff members feel like they belong to WI and EPS. The team used their planning time to read books, teach, and play games with 1st grade students, so their teachers could complete AimsWeb testing. They also use their plan time to check on others to see what kind of support they can give during that time.
