Spin Into Spring 2024

Spin Into Spring Silent Auction! If you are new to Washington Irving, Spin Into Spring is our major Spring Fundraiser.

Previously, themes were assigned to classes. This year, we are opening the themes to anyone who is interested! We also have Amazon Wishlists for every basket (except Local Goods). These can be found on our LinkTree (linktr.ee/wipto). Items are collected and used to create baskets that are auctioned or raffled at the event on April 5th. The funds raised at Spin Into Spring support hands on learning experiences like field trips, items for the classroom, and grants for our teaching teams to fund new technology and learning programs that help our students learn, problem solve and apply their knowledge. Items purchased from the Amazon Wishlists will be shipped directly to the school. Donations not purchased from the Amazon Wishlists should be given to your child's teacher with a note stating the fair market value of the item. This allows us to put an accurate value on the baskets. If you are sending a gift card, please place it in a sealed envelope labeled "PTO Spin Into Spring" with the value and class theme written on the front. All items are due March 27, 2024.

Please note that while we try our best to keep the items for each theme together, there may be a situation where we need to move it to another basket. The goal behind this is to maximize the profit potential for our school.

Have any baskets, tissue paper, or cellophane you would like to donate? We would put it to good

use!

Of course, all donations are optional but very much appreciated and helpful in raising money for our wonderful school, teachers and students.

Third grade students will be taking the state achievement test this week. On Monday and Tuesday students will take the English Language Arts portion and the math portion on Wednesday and Thursday.

Fourth grade students will complete the ELA portion of the state achievement test. Fifth grade students will complete the first two portions of the ELA state achievement test.

Join us for Conscious Discipline Family Night to learn about Conscious Discipline at Washington Irving! Conscious Discipline is a comprehensive self-regulation program, that integrates social-emotional learning, school culture, and discipline. Learn how to incorporate it at home!
